Puppies and Breeding:

Here at 'Hanafor' we take particular care with our breeding programme.
Our aim is, and has always been, to selectively breed for
quality, type, temperament, soundness, working ability and beauty.
This is evident by the type and consistency of our dogs over the years.

Litters are carefully planned and timed.  Consequently, our puppies are highly sought after and many are spoken for well in advance.  In the current environment of 'over breeding' we take particular care with potential buyers.  If you are interested in obtaining a 'Hanafor' puppy, it is suggested you contact us regarding your requirements well in advance of your needs, as you may have to wait for the right puppy.

We encourage prospective Vizsla owners to carefully research both the breed and your selection of Breeder.
Most breeders would produce 0-3 litters a year maximum.  A Breeder who produces more than this on a regular basis could be considered a high volume breeder.

In Australia a ".com.au" website address is only available to registered businesses who hold an Australian Business Number (ABN) for tax purposes.

The popularity of the Vizsla has risen dramatically over the last 10 years and like other breeds in the past, rescue and rehousing is becoming an increasing problem.   This is not the breed for everyone and careful consideration needs to be given to your lifestyle and the welfare of the dog.  A dog or puppy is for life.

Unfortunately, as mentioned earlier, Vizsla rescue/rehousing is now a major problem and more and more Vizslas are ending up in shelters and offered for placement.

ALWAYS
contact your Breeder first if you need assistance.

The Hungarian Vizsla Club of NSW has an active and caring committee who can assist in this area.  A link to their Club is on our links page.
